Windy Hill Farm Nursery is nestled in the beautiful Oregon wine country, west of the north fork of the Yamhill River, between the villages of Yamhill and Carlton. It is less than 8 miles north of McMinnville at 13735 NW Westside Road in rural Yamhill County. While there are many roads that lead to our nursery, we think you will find these directions easiest to follow. See the contact information at the bottom of the page if you would like to call us for more details or directions from your location.

MapQuest does not handle directions for the last leg of your trip to our rural nursery with much detail. If you would like to use their service, click on their link here to obtain the general directions from your location, then follow the instructions from McMinnville, Yamhill or Carlton below for the final leg of your trip to our nursery.

FROM PORTLAND AND VANCOUVER, WA:

• Take Interstate 5 south to Exit 294 for Route 99W (Newberg/Tigard, McMinnville/Lincoln City)
• Merge right from the off ramp to follow 99W south through Tigard, past Sherwood and on into Newberg (approximately 16 miles)
• 99W splits from combined two-way to divided one-way traffic in Newberg at a light.
• 0.5 miles (4th light) after 99W south becomes one-way, take right turn for Highway 240 Chehalem Valley, Yamhill
• Follow 240 into the town of Yamhill, cross Highway 47, and continue straight out of town heading west
• Once outside the city limits, stay LEFT on the pavement as the road goes through a series of "Y"'s
• After crossing the Yamhill River, you will be on Westside Road heading south, facing a series of low rises. Windy Hill Farm is on the right at the top of the 3rd rise. (Look for the greenhouses!)
• Park in the gravel parking area provided.

FROM SALEM:

• From Salem area, take the Marion Street bridge over the Willamette River to Route 22 west (towards the coast)
• Follow 22 west to the light at the intersection with Route 99W. Turn right onto Route 99W and go north to McMinnville
• Follow 99W north into McMinnville, past Linfield College on the right, until the roadway divides into one way sections north and south. At this point, 99W north is also known as Baker Street.
• Follow instructions from McMINNVILLE

FROM MID OR SOUTH WILLAMETTE VALLEY (DALLAS, MONMOUTH, CORVALLIS):

• Take Route 99W north, crossing Route 22.
• Follow 99W north into McMinnville, past Linfield College on the right, until the roadway divides into one way sections north and south. At this point, 99W north is also known as Baker Street.
• Follow instructions from McMINNVILLE

FROM LINCOLN CITY AND THE MIDCOAST REGION:

• From Lincoln City and points south, take Route 101 north to Route 18. From Pacific City and points north, take Route 101 south to Route 18
• Please DRIVE WITH CARE on Route 18 east - this is a designated safety corridor, observe all speed limits and watch for unsafe passing.
• Take 18 east to the Route 99W north, McMinnville, Linfield College exit.
• Follow 99W north into McMinnville, past Linfield College on the right, until the roadway divides into one way sections north and south. At this point, 99W north is also known as Baker Street.
• Follow instructions from McMINNVILLE

FROM McMINNVILLE:

• Head north through McMinnville on Route 99W (Baker Street)
• Turn left at the light at Baker Creek Road/NE Evans (the street is named Baker Creek Road on the left, NE Evans on the right. Lumberman's is on the left side at this corner)
• Turn right at the next light onto Baker Street. Continue north on Baker Street which becomes Westside Road to a 4-way stop with flashing red light at the intersection with Meadow Lake Road (the road coming west out of Carlton).
• Continue north for 1.8 miles and turn left up a gravel driveway into Windy Hill Farm. The turn is at the top of a slight rise. The nursery is not apparent when approaching from the south until you are at the top of the rise and see our sign.
• Park in the gravel parking area provided.

FROM YAMHILL:

• Follow Route 240 west through the town of Yamhill, cross Highway 47, and continue straight out of town heading west
• Once outside the city limits, stay LEFT on the pavement as the road goes through a series of "Y"'s

FROM CARLTON:

• From Main Street in Carlton, stay on Meadow Lake Road west to the 4-way stop with flashing red light at the Carlton Packing Plant.
• Turn right onto Westside Road.
• Continue north for 1.8 miles and turn left up a gravel driveway into Windy Hill Farm. The turn is at the top of a slight rise. The nursery is not apparent when approaching from the south until you are at the top of the rise and see our sign.
• Park in the gravel parking area provided.

FROM BEAVERTON/HILLSBORO:

• From Beaverton take Highway 26 west.
• Follow the signs for Tillamook and turn off onto Highway 6
• Within several miles, take the Banks exit for Highway 47 south.
• Follow Highway 47 south through Forest Grove and travel about 12 miles to Yamill
• At the flashing yellow light in the center of downtown, turn RIGHT onto Moores Valley Road and follow the instructions from YAMHILL

• From Hillsboro, take Highway 8 west to Forest Grove. Just as you leave Cornelius and enter Forest Grove, turn left onto Highway 47 south. (There is an ACE Hardware store on one corner of this intersection and McMenimins Grand Lodge on the opposite corner.)
• Follow Highway 47 south through Forest Grove and travel about 12 miles to Yamill
• At the flashing yellow light in the center of downtown, turn RIGHT onto Moores Valley Road and follow the instructions from YAMHILL

FROM FOREST GROVE:

• Follow Highway 47 south through Forest Grove and travel about 12 miles to Yamill
• At the flashing yellow light in the center of downtown, turn RIGHT onto Moores Valley Road and follow the instructions from YAMHILL
